The Salvation Army is seeking sponsors for needy children on the Christmas Angel Tree this year. Sponsors are needed to provide gifts to underprivileged children in the community. Red River Federal Credit Union, 2121 N. Main, will host an exhibit on the history of U.S. currency, featuring historic notes and coins on loan from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The display is available for viewing till Dec. 17 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Marine Toy for Tots Foundation will be collecting new unwrapped toys from Nov. 15 to Dec. 24 and will remain in our area. The Warren Senior Citizens/Community will be having their regular Tuesday music night at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Located 7 miles east of Blair on Highway 19. Habitat for Humanity Altus Area Community Luncheon will be hosted by St. John Baptist Church and AHS Jr. ROTC. Serving time is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday,Ddec. 21, at the Altus Community Center at the reservoir on Falcon Road. The cost if $5 per person, they will be serving beef stew, chili beans, cornbread, tangy slaw, dessert, tea and coffee. All proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity Altus Area, Inc.
