Stacy (Foster) Espinosa, formerly of Altus, now a teacher in Frederick, was the lucky grand prize winner of this year's grand $10,000 prize.
"I'm going to share the money with my family," said Espinosa, whose awe shone through her face when she realized she had the winning ticket. Because she had several tickets, she wasn't real sure which business the winning ticket came from.
Espinosa's husband, Jimmy and their daughter, Abbey, reside in Frederick. She said she's not real sure yet what they'll spend the money on.
Dick Fontana, KWHW, and J.J. from KEYB, kept the crowd alive, announcing the winning tickets and introducing several entertainers.
The winners of the $100 drawings were Daniel Webb of Hollis, Tony Hawkins of Hollis (whose winning ticket came from Western Sizzlin), Brent Willy and Mildred Canig (whose winning ticket came from The Front Door.)
Another $1,000 winning ticket will be drawn Monday at the Main Street Altus office, around 9 a.m. The winning number will be announced on all local radio stations, and the ticket-holder will have 24 hours to claim the last prize.
Before Espinosa won, two previous tickets were called. But the holders did not claim the $10,000 prize before the time limit was up.
