Frank Hunt, 53, of Altus, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at his home. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Kincannon Funeral Home. A graveside committal of his cremated remains will follow at 1 p.m. at the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

He was born June 24, 1951, in Chickasha to O.L. (Sonny) and LaVern (Kemp) Hunt. He graduated from Altus High School and continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford. He entered the United States Army in March 1976 and was honorably discharged in April 1979. He married Lea A. Lynch in November 1984 in Walters. He was an alcohol and drug counselor for New Hope of Mangum. He was also the Southwest Oklahoma coordinator for Mothers Against Drunk Drivers Red Ribbon Campaign. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus. He enjoyed sports, attending church and his involvement in the M.A.D.D. organization.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Heather Lynn Hunt; and a son, Joshua Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Lea Hunt of Altus; three sons, Levi J. Hunt of Altus, Christopher Hunt Churchill and Jeffery Hunt Churchill, both of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons and many friends.
