Jones died Nov. 21, 2004, at Memorial Hospital and Physicians Group in Frederick. Burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home.
Shirley was born Nov. 22, 1963, in Oklahoma City to Dwain and Sue (Jones) Bearden. She grew up and attended schools in Oklahoma City. She moved to Fort Worth, Texas, to be near her brother, where she worked in the hotel industry. She then moved to Lawton where she attended Cameron University. She married Ron Jones in 1988. They were stationed in Germany for three years before returning to Fort Sill. She moved to Frederick in May 1999, where she sold real estate with her dad. She worked in Vernon, Texas, at Victory Field Correctional Academy as a juvenile correctional officer and cadet leader. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Frederick.
She is survived by her father, Dwain Bearden; friend, Carolyn Howell, of Frederick; mother, Sue McMillan and husband Harold of Oklahoma City; children, Lindsey Germain, Ronnie Jones and Ada Jones, all of the home; grandchild, Hayden; brother, Joel Bearden of Amsterdam, Netherlands; loving aunts, uncles and cousins; supporting loving friend, Kay Barnett.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, Box 306, Frederick, OK, 73542 in loving memory of Shirley Jones.
