ALTUS -- An Altus man who was attended to by EMS personnel after he fell in the parking lot of Taco Bell on Tuesday morning suffered his second mishap in two days when he was hit Wednesday afternoon while crossing North Main at Simpson.

According to a traffic collision report filed with the Altus Police Department, police and EMS responded to the intersection at 5:21 p.m.

Thomas McMullen, 48, of 621 Chris, was walking eastbound across Main, the report said, while Alfredo Maldonado, 46, of 1006 N. Jackson, was turning left from Simpson headed south on Main in his 1992 GMC pickup. Maldonado told police the sun was in his eyes and he did not see McMullen, who was hit at about the halfway point of Main.

McMullen was not treated as an inpatient at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in either incident.
