Stevens died Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at the Frederick Memorial Nursing Center. Burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home.
He was born on September 27, 1915, to A. J. and Mary Elizabeth (Agee) Stevens, Southwest of Frederick in the Tesca Community. They moved to the Minco area where he attended schools in Tuttle. He married Pauline Coffman on May 3, 1934, in Oklahoma City. They came back to Frederick in 1943, where he worked in farming, and as a trucker, where he owned and operated Jack Stevens Trucking. His family enjoyed making music, he was musically inclined and loved to play the French harp. He was a Baptist. He always had a smile on his face.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pauline, in 2001; son: Roger, in 1935; 16 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by three sons, Don Stevens, and his wife, Brenda, of Frederick; Nick Stevens, and his wife, Paula, of Conroe, Texas; and Jack C. Stevens, and Mia, of Oklahoma City; two sisters: Leta Faye Stuart, of Brownsville, Texas, and Alma Sturdedent, of Sun City, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
