BLAIR -- A trailer home that had been expanded into a permanent house was destroyed by a fire early this morning.

The Blair Fire Department responded at 4 a.m. to a fire a quarter of a mile south of Warren Road near Blair on County Road 205.

According to Blair Fire Chief Dennis Davis the house was fully involved when the call was received and flames could be seen from Blair.

No one was in the vacant house at the time of the blaze. The house was valued at $60,000 not counting the contents, Davis said.

Blair, Altus, Friendship and Warren units responded to the call. Davis said there were still a few hot spots at 9 a.m., but the fire was brought under control by about 5:30 a.m.

Davis said that as a matter of routine, an arson investigator was called in from the state Fire Marshal's Office, but it will be two to three weeks before the cause of the blaze can be determined.
