During the month of June, the Southwest Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross will be hosting several disaster classes. On Saturday, June 4. Introduction to Disaster, DAT Orientation, and Mass Care Overview will be starting at 9 a.m. These three classes are a prerequisite for all of the following classes offered during the month. Weapons of Mass Destruction will be held at 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.. Mass casualty class will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Shelter Operations/Simulation class will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 25. All disaster classes are free of charge and open to the public. A creative writing workshop for adults will be offered by the Shortgrass Institute and the Altus Public Library from 6 to 9 p.m. on three Monday evenings, June 6, June 13, and June 20. The instructor is Donna Smith. Class size is limited so come by the library to reserve a spot. Cost is $30.
The Warren Senior Citzens/Community will be having their regular Tuesday music night at 6 p.m., June 7. Located 7 miles east of Blair on Highway 19. Open to everyone. There will be hamburgers with chips for $1.50 and all sodes are 50 cents. Coffee and tea are free.
AARP meeting will be June 7. Pot luck at 6 p.m. at the Towers apartments. Meeting and bingo at 7 p.m. Bring food for the Pantry this month.

The 73rd Annual Greer County Pioneer Reunion will be held Saturday, June 18, on the lawn of the Greer County Courthouse.
