Ray Franklin Terry, 71, of Pearland, Texas, formerly of Floyd, Texas, died Sunday, June 12 at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster, Texas.

He was born April 9, 1934 in Floyd to Frank Andrew and Valera A. (Williams) Terry.

He was a retired United States Air Force Major. He was a pilot with Hughes Aircraft and Flight Safety International C141 in Altus. He also worked for the Federal Aviation Administration Flight Standards Division. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He is survived by two sons, Robert and wife Tricia Terry of Pearland, Texas, and Bill and wife Heather Terry of Spring Valley, Ill.; three sisters, Geraldine Lawhon of Greenville, Texas, Jeanette Bragan of Charleston, S.C., and Helen Nicholson of Abilene, Texas; four grandchildren, Joshua Ray Terry and Caleb John Terry, both of Pearland and twins, Grace Meredith Terry and Benjamin William Terry, both of Spring Valley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jack Terry.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at the First Presbyterian Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Bragan. Burial will be at Memoryland Memorial Park in Pearland.
