Funeral services for Ted Hicks, 50, of Frederick will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2005, at the Gray Gish Funeral Home with Barry Gibson of Tulsa officiating.

Hicks died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Burial will be at the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home.

Ted Roy Hicks was born on March 27, 1955, in Lawton, to Pearlene Hicks. He attended Frederick Public Schools. He was active in the Frederick Little League and adult baseball team, where he served as a head coach for the Warriors. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, where he served as trustee for 15 years. He was very good with arts and crafts. He was noted for telling his Indian stories and enjoyed singing Choctaw hymns. He went to be with his favorite cousin, Leon J. Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Pearlene Hicks, in 1992; and his maternal grandparents, Jefferson and Lorancie Hicks.

He is survived by three sons, Jeff Hicks, and wife, Linda, of Rio Rancho, N.M., Jeremy Hicks, of Mena, Ark., and Wesley Hicks, of Buena Vista, Ga.; brother, Alden Osborn, of Childress, Texas; and three sisters, Debra Osborn and Sharon Ochoa, both of Altus, and Alicia Osborn, of Wewoka; and five grandchildren, Jacob, Gaven, Malkine and Ashton Hicks and Jalen Wesley; aunt, Ann Fobb of Frederick; and numerous cousins.
