The Jackson County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting on May 9, at 10 a.m. in their Commissioners’ Office in the Jackson County Courthouse. Normal business procedures will include approval of the minutes, reports, and blanket purchase orders. The officers may give reports.

One item of interest on the agenda is the consideration of advertising for bids for one or more motor grader(s) on lease/purchase for District #1. This equipment is used extensively in fire intervention. Jackson County, as well as Southwest Oklahoma is under a continued fire ban. When battling fires, motor graders are used to help stop fast-moving grass fires.

A contract between the Office of Juvenile Affairs and Jackson County will be discussed.

Allied Health Research will be considered for conducting Compliance Drug Tests for Jackson County.

The commissioners will discuss the re-appointment of Charles Carter to serve as representative on the Jackson County Board of Health.

The Commissioners proceedings for the month of April may be approved for publication.

A Resolution for the maximum monthly highway expenditures for the month of May may also be approved.

Any new business, public or vendor participation items will be discussed.

The claims will be considered for payment before adjournment.
