The Southside Baptist Church Girls in Action will be holding a garage sale 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Southside Baptist Church, 1100 Asa Lee. All the proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase items to fill shoeboxes for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.

A Water Babies class for children eight months to five years will begin from 5 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the Altus City/School Swimming Facility. A parent or guardian, at least 16 years old, is required to be in the water with the child.
