St. Paul’s Episcopal Elves will host the “St. Paul’s Christmas Shoppe” beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at 721 N. Thomas, corner of A and Thomas Streets. The sale will include holiday crafts, quilt items, baked goods and desserts. A stew and cornbread luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. Tickets for the luncheon will be on sale at the door.
Lion’s Club and United Way’s Pancake Breakfast with Santa will be from 6 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Community Center. Advance tickets available now. St. Paul’s Episcopal and Our St. Lutheran Churches annual chili supper will be held after the Christmas parade from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at 721 N. Thomas. Cost will be $3 for adults and $1.50 for children.
Boone Nicolls, a Southwest Oklahoma-based education specialist trained by eBay, is offering local residents a chance to learn tips and tricks for buying on eBay from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Altus Public Library. JCMH-OBI Blood Drive will be from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the Altus Community Center on Falcon Road. Donors will be entered to win $100 Wal-Mart gift card and will receive a free “LOST” T-shirt.
The Jackson County Conservation District has announced it will be participating in the Oklahoma Conservation Cost-Share Program. The program will begin with a sign up period set for Dec. 5 through 16. All applications received will be ranked for eligibility.
The Rotary Club will meet at noon Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Western Oklahoma State College. Rotarian of the Day will be Matt Ward. Guest and program will be the WOSC Ensemble, under the direction of Carla Shelby, director of choral and musical theatre, will entertain with a holiday musical performance.
