ALTUS - The Altus Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 120, has begun its annual Teens Talk to Teens scholarship fund-raiser. The fund-raiser began today and will continue through Feb. 10.

This scholarship is an essay contest that is open to all Jackson County students. The students write essays about drugs, alcohol, peer pressures and family issues. The writers of the top essays earn scholarship money to assist in their education. All the compiled essays are placed in a book that is distributed to all Jackson County public schools.

All donations will be picked up by an off-duty Altus police officer or may be mailed directly to F.O.P. Lodge 120, P.O. Box 121, Altus, OK 73522.

The Altus Fraternal Order of Police would like to thank the community for the continued support of this important program.
