Earl Ray Hamon, 50, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2005, at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart.

He was born Feb. 2, 1955 in Eukia, Calif. to Wanda Headrick and Glen Hamon. He grew up in the Oklahoma City area and worked in sales for Hennessey Tire Shop in Hennessey for a number of years. He lived in the Blair area and worked for Southwest Garden Center near Blair and Stage Department Stores for several years. He loved gardening and was an avid antique collector.

He is survived by his father, Glen Hamon of Hobbs, N.M.; his mother, Wanda Martindale of Moore; three brothers, Allen Ross of Oklahoma City, Jerry Hamon of Weatherford, and Dirk Hamon of Mangum; four sisters, Glenda Barker of Lone Wolf, Angela Davis of Burns Flat, Terry Prather of Blue Springs, Mo., and Debbie Ross of Oklahoma City; a special friend, Mark Baden of Altus; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Private family services are planned.

Arrangements are with People’s Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
