Gen. Looney to speak at annual Chamber banquet

ALTUS — June Knight, Chairwoman of the Board of the Altus Chamber of Commerce, has announced that Gen. William R. Looney III, commander of the Air Education and Training Command at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas, will be the keynote speaker for the 98th Annual Chamber of Commerce banquet scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 23.

The banquet will be held in the Altus High School Cafetorium.

“Altus America Vision for the Future” is the theme for the banquet this year. The Ambassador Club of the Altus Chamber will serve as hosts and greeters at the banquet. Barbara Burge, CableOne is serving as chairwoman of the Annual Banquet Task Force.

All Chamber members will receive an invitation to attend. Ticket cost is $15 per person.

The master of ceremonies for the 98th Altus Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet is immediate past Chairman of the Board Charles Dobbs of Dobbs and Brinkman. Service plaques will be presented to outgoing directors for 2005 and 2004.

The banquet will begin at 7:01 p.m. with the posting of the colors by the Honor Guard from Altus AFB.
