Burial with military honors will be in the Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gray Gish Funeral Home of Frederick.
He was born Nov. 30, 1924, southwest of Frederick to Joseph Ed and Nellie (Wilson) Kyser. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from Jan. 21, 1943, to June 24, 1944.
He was united in marriage to Mattie Bell McGlaun on Aug. 14, 1943, in Frederick. She preceded him in death Nov. 22, 2000. He had worked as a lawn landscaper, a mechanic on farm equipment and also as a lawn mower and small engine repairman. He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved the Lord, his family and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Matt; and a granddaughter, Corrina.
He is survived by four sons, Billy Kyser and wife Coilla of Oklahoma City, David Kyser and wife Reba of Blanchard, Larry Kyser and wife Kathy of Norman, and Jerry Kyser of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Joyce Carr and husband Harland, and Kathy Carr and husband Alfred, all of McCloud; four sisters, Elsie Hilburn, of Frederick, Mary Lou Anderson of Oklahoma City, Gene Wallis of Midwest City, and Lavon Miller of Cooperton; 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
