Larry Dale Graves, 56, of Hinton, died at his home March 8, 2006. He was born Jan. 21, 1950, at Sentinel to W.C. and Dorothy Mae (Stewart) Graves. He graduated from Burns Flat High School in 1968. He married Suzzanne DeShazo on July 10, 1969, in Dill City. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He served with the 101st Airborne Division/ 58th Scout Dog platoon. He worked in the oilfield for more than 30 years. He was baptized in 1961 in the Church of Christ in Dill City.

Survivors include his wife Suzzanne Graves of the home in Hinton; one daughter, Carrie Wilson & husband, Jason of Hinton; two grandchildren, Austin Dale & Addison Wilson, both of Hinton; one brother, William Graves of McLoud; two sisters, Judy Horn of Altus and Geena Hudgins of Mustang.

He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Graves; his mother, Dorothy Walters; and one sister, Sherry Fair.

Services were set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church at in Hinton. The Rev. Carl Thionnet and the Rev. Randy Weaver will officiate. Eulogy will be given by Don Graves. Burial will be at the Retrop Cemetery, directed by Hinton-Turner Funeral Home of Hinton.
