ENID - The Western Oklahoma State College Pioneers swept a doubleheader from Northern of Enid on Saturday.

The Pioneers defeated Northern 5-3 in the first game behind the six-hit pitching of Angel Castro.

John Gendron had a home run in the game.

Fidel Rodriguez homered in the second game in Western's 4-1 victory.

Daniel Ingram went the distance on the mound for the victory.

Coach Kurt Russell's Pioneers are now 26-14 on the season.

They will host Northern of Tonkawa in a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Thursday.
