The varsity team of Spencer Prough, Thomas Malena, Victor Martinez, Clayton Martin and Jarrod Wilhite shot 370 to defeat second place Clinton by 22 strokes.
It was Altus' second tournament win of the season, to go along with one third place and one fourth place finish.
All five members of the Altus team finished in the top ten individually. Malena was second with a score of 90 and Prough was fourth with a score of 91.
Coach Terry Gilbert praised the boys team for their abilities and dedication.
“This is an excellent group of golfers to work with,” Gilbert said. “They are not only very talented, but they approach the sport very seriously and practice extremely hard. This community can expect big things from them in the future.”
The AJH girls placed second at the tournament at Quartz Mountain.
Chelsea McCuistion won the individual championships. DeLana was fifth.
“The girls played very well and we are looking forward to next year,” coach Patricia Bryce said.
Members of both teams expressed their thanks to Bar-S and Shamrock Bank for their donations to help make the tournament a success.
