Music festival to be held at Quartz Mountain

LONE WOLF - The first annual Quartz Mountain Music Festival at Lone Wolf will be held July 28 at 6 p.m. and July 29 at 8 p.m. at the Robert M. Kerr Performing Arts Center at Quartz Mountain.

The July 28 performance will feature the Bevan Manson Trio from Los Angeles. Bevan Manson is hailed by the Boston Globe as a “superb jazz pianist...imaginative, yet accessible.” This piano, upright bass and drum set trio will dazzle you as you enjoy Quartz Mountain and the magic of the location.

The July29 performance will feature the Quartz Mountain Chamber Players. They will present a stellar concert featuring the world renowned singer Mary Jane Johnson singing a medley of spirituals and works of Mozart.

Also on the program will be the Bach Brandenburgt Concerto No. 3, a Vivaldi Flute Concerto, Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 feature one of Oklahoma's most talented college students, Ty Myers, and the exciting and beautiful Tchaikovsky String Serenade.

Made up of some of the finest players from a three-state region and from across the United States including Boston, Orlando, Atlanta and Los Angeles, the Quartz Mountain Chamber Players will give an evening to remember.

Tickets are $30 per seat for both nights; $20 per seat for either night; and $25 per seat at the box office either night of the concert.
