The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Altus Community Center.
This conference will provide an in-depth look at winter canola production and profitability, seed supplies, conventional seed and roundup ready seed, weed management, insect management, combining canola, canola as a rotational crop in wheat after wheat production systems, and the economics of canola production as compared to wheat.
Speakers will include individuals from in-state and out-of-state educational institutions as well as private companies and commodity associations. This will be an informative conference. Agriculture producers should consider attending this conference to learn more about canola production.
There is no charge for this meeting and materials and a sponsored lunch will be served. Pre-registration is requested by noon on Monday, July 17, at the Jackson County Extension Office at 482-0823.
