ALTUS - The Jackson County Fair has been missing a carnival for several years. After many requests and a long search, the Jackson County Fair Board has booked Blue Ribbon Enterprises of Houston for this year's County Fair. The carnival will be operating at the Expo Center, 300 Todd Lane, Sept. 7-9 in conjunction with the fair.

The carnival will be great for families with children. Attractions include a giant double drop slide, Dixie Twister swings, Par 27 miniature golf, Rascal Racers go-karts, Tiger Belly bounce, Rat Race obstacle course, ten-in-one carnival games, Ejection Seat and more, including a confection wagon with sno-cones, carmel apples, popcorn and cotton candy. Discount tickets will be available while supplies last at participating businesses such as Connie's Hair Design, 2225 Falcon Road, Farm Bureau, 1001 E. Tamarack Road., Nance Landscape north of Altus on Hwy 283, KEYB Radio, KWHW Radio or the OSU Extension Office (482-0823).

Make plans now to bring the family to the “New Fantastic Fair” and Carnival.
