Altus First Baptist Church will hold their Fall Revival Sunday, Sept. 24 through Wednesday, Sept. 29. Services are at 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday services are at 7 p.m.

Seeing is Not Believing illusionist Jonathan Curtis will be the featured guest. He and his wife, Lori, have been presenting their show for seven years. Curtis has earned two Masters degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and teaches “Principles of Teaching” at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in addition to his traveling show schedules. “Seeing is Not Believing” ministry believes that the Bible is God's word to man. These words are inerrant and infallible. God loves people so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for mankind. His death on the cross provides the “only” way in which one can have a relationship with God. “Seeing is Not Believing” is an interactive presentation of the plan of salvation using large scale illusions that related to a relationship with God. There is a natural connection between performing something that is beyond belief and the unbelievable, undeniable, and unconditional love of God. Their illusions are simply used as a tool to captivate people and them about Jesus. The Curtis' specialize in relating a lost world to the love of Christ. Their “Seeing is Not Believing” grand illusion show is entertainment for the soul.

Sunday, Sept. 24, the fresh voices of Southwestern Sound from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas will offer a sacrifice of praise during all worship services. Southwestern Sound exists “to present the best possible offerings to their Savior and, in the process, encourage others who want to give their best in ministry to the Lord”. Director James Caldwell began recruiting the team in March 2005, looking for people who had a heart to use their gifts and talents to serve God. Seven in the group are currently pursuing bachelor's degrees, three are master-level students, and one is beginning doctoral study. Caldwell has written more than 25 gospel songs, including “Love Drove the Nails”, “I'm Going to a City”, and “Before Sunrise, the Son Rose”.

First Baptist Church invites you to join them in a week of celebration through revival. Bring friends, co-workers or family members. Come ... and see what God wants to do in and through your life. Please, don't miss out in what God has planned for you!

Childcare is provided ‘free' for children under age 4 years. For more information about FBC Fall Revival or church information, please call 482--0230.
