Eldorado man in guarded condition after cycle accident

JACKSON COUNTY - An Eldorado man was listed in guarded condition at Jackson County Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding ran off the roadway on a county road northeast of Eldorado.

Michael Scott Richardson, 23, was taken to the hospital with internal and arm injuries following the accident at 4:30 p.m. five miles north and 1.5 miles east of the town.

According to the highway Patrol report, Richardson was headed south on the county road on a 2003 Honda motorcycle when he lost control of the bike, ran off the roadway to the right and overturned. Richardson, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the motorcycle.

Highway Patrol Trooper Steve Pothorst responded to the accident.
