A dozen local families and businesses are opening their doors for everyone to tour and visit between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This year all the proceeds will be donated to the Altus Armed Services YMCA at Altus Air Force Base, Combined Federal Campaign #4002.
The cost is $5 per person or $10 per family. Joan Wilcoxen, executive director of the Altus Armed Services YMCA, said, “We wanted to make it affordable for everyone to come and share the gardens. If someone is able to donate additional funding for the young military men and women served by the Altus Armed Services YMCA that would be great, but your single contribution will grant you access to all of the town locations.”
Pick up a free tour guide for the water garden benefit on Altus AFB at the Airmen and Family Readiness Flight, room 1201 in building 52, NBC bank, KWHW Radio, First State Bank, Red River Federal Community Credit Union, First National Bank, MidFirst Bank, Stockman's Bank and Shamrock Bank.
Everyone is welcome to start at any location on the tour, travel at your own pace, and see a many or as few gardens as you desire.
