He was born Oct. 9, 1917, to Andrew Lee and Bertie (Davis) Williams in Harmon County. He married Marie Jordan on Oct. 28, 1939, in Hollis. He farmed north of Gould until his retirement. He was a member of the Dodson Church of Christ. He was baptized in a stock tank on one of his farms by Earl Seigrist in 1976. His special interests were fishing, cattle and looking at farmland. He loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Bertie Williams; one daughter, Carolyn McEndree; one grandson, Dustin Williams; and two brothers, Dillard Williams and Billy Don Williams.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marie Williams of Hollis; one daughter, Donna Simco and husband Phil of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Nolan Williams and wife Ruth of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Steve Williams and wife LaDonna, also of North Richland Hills; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Williams and wife Wanda Faye of Hollis; three sisters, Irene Bridges of Haltom City, Texas, Lorene Corbit of Odessa, Texas, and Florence Buchanan of Atlanta.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stewart Funeral Service in Hollis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Dodson, Texas, officiated by Harlan Cary and Earl Seigrist, minister of the Dodson Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service of Hollis.
