Hazel Jepsen, 89, of Altus, died Saturday, Aug. 12, 2006, at English Village Nursing Home. Graveside services were held today at the Victory Cemetery with Les Banks officiating. Services were under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

She was born June 18, 1917, near Victory in Jackson County to John J. and Annie Mae (Weaver) Bush. She graduated from Victory High School in 1935. She married Hans Jepsen II in 1946 in California. She lived most of her life on the family farm a half mile south of the Olustee Y off of highway 62 West of Altus. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four sisters, Laneta, Beulah, Maude and Rebecca Trudy; five brothers, John, Jim, Harold, Tam and Ted Bush.

She is survived by her son Hans “Skipper” Jepsen, III; a brother and sister-in-law, Calvin and Sue Bush of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
