ALTUS - The Altus Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Farm City Week through Nov. 17. The theme is “Farming, Flying and Community - The Pillars of Southwest Oklahoma.”

During the week, the community takes time to recognize the importance of those engaged in farming and ranching and in ag-related businesses for their many contributions to the community and the economy.

Activities include the Kickoff Farmers Appreciation Luncheon and Farm Tours on Wednesday, Nov. 8.

The Annual Farm-City Week Banquet is set for Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Clifford Peterson Cafeteria at Altus High School. Keynote speaker will be Mike Adams, host of the popular nationwide “Agri-Talk” radio program.

Adams will also be doing his program from Altus Thursday from the First National Bank in Altus and on Friday from Ag Preference.
