Indian Territory Home Health and Hospice is family owned by Wampler, her mother and three sisters.
The company was established in 1996 and currently has 15 offices and is employing over 300 employees. The name was derived from what this and surrounding areas in Oklahoma used to be called, Indian Territory.
Wampler, after marrying husband Cody Wampler from Walters, first extended Indian Territory Home Health and Hospice to the Walters area and has since opened locations in Comanche, Lawton, Marlow, Frederick and now Altus.
These offices provide jobs for many and most importantly, provide care to patients so they may live independently at home, while addressing their medical needs.
The services offered are, skilled nursing, home health aides, physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Skilled nursing may include wound care, diabetic care, IV therapy, teaching and evaluation of new or changed medications, blood pressure monitoring, lab work, or home care following hospital or nursing home discharge.
Skilled nursing is available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Home
Health aides provide services that may include: personal care such as bathing and dressing. They may also assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning, etc. Physical therapy services include exercise to regain movement and strength to a body area, and training on how to use special equipment or do daily activities, like getting in and out of a wheelchair or bathtub.
Speech therapy services includes exercise to regain and strengthen speech skills, and Occupational therapy services helps you become able to do usual daily activities by yourself such as eating and dressing.
Indian Territory Home Health and Hospice provides health care that can be provided at no cost to the patient. Their goal, simply: “To provide the same level of care to their patients that they would provide to one of their own family members.”
The new office is located next to Burl Winters Real Estate Agency at 1015 Falcon Rd. The office is fully staffed and ready for your needs. “We hope to provide this area with the services they need,” stated Wampler.
They have had an office in Frederick since September 2004, but they had so many patients in the Altus area that they knew it was time to open office to better serve their patients and employees.
