Hollis woman in good condition after accident

HOLLIS - Dana Cox, 38, of Hollis, was listed in good condition at Harmon County Hospital yesterday after a one-vehicle accident 1 mile south of Hollis on a county Road in Harmon County.

According to reports, Cox was driving a 1995 Mecury Cougar, traveling eastbound on the county road, when she failed to negotiate a curve. Cox then ran off the right side of the roadway, impacting in the ditch.

She was transported by Harmon County Ambulance to Harmon County Hospital with internal injuries.

Seatbelts were equipped, but not in use, and airbags were equipped but not deployed.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Josh Tinsley of the Harmon County detachement and assisted by Trooper Steve Pothorst, Harmon County EMS and Harmon County Sheriff's Office and the Hollis Police Department.
