OLUSTEE - A 24-year-old Altus man was flown by helicopter to Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton on Tuesday evening following a rollover accident a mile north of Olustee.

Hagan Henderson was admitted to the hospital in guarded condition with head, trunk and leg injuries after being taken to Lawton from Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Henderson was northbound on state Highway 6 at 7:40 p.m. in a 2006 Toyota Tundra when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and Henderson over-corrected, causing the truck to overturn 2 3/4 times, coming to rest on its side.

Henderson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle's passenger window about 60 feet and was taken to JCMH by Jackson County EMS.

Four Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene, as well as the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Altus Fire Department, Olustee Fire Department and Olustee Police Department.
