Graveside services will were set for 1 p.m., today at Altus Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Cantrell was born Jan. 2, 1923 in Martha. She has lived in Pampa since 1952. She retired after 32 years of service from Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator. She married Garland Gray on May 19, 1942 in Altus. He preceded her in death in 1977. She later married Carl Cantrell on Feb. 14, 1986 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Halley Tarpley; three sisters, Gladys Gray, Eva Mae Penland, and Anna Lou Barnes; and a brother, Burton Tarpley.
Survivors include her son, Ron Gray and wife Jean of Amarillo; two granddaughters, Melody Fisher and husband Danny of Loveland, Colo., and Melissa Haney and husband Kris of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Ben Fisher, Noah Fisher, Bailey Haney, and Zack Haney; and a nephew, Ennis Penland and wife Lisa of Amarillo.
