Altus trailed for most of the game in regulation but battled back to take a lead on three different occasions in the fourth period.
With the score tied 30-30, the Lady Bulldogs had an opportunity to end the game on a last second shot in regulation. Altus held the ball for the final 1:50 of the game but a pass was deflected by a Duncan defender and went out of bounds with 2.8 seconds left. The Bulldogs still had possession but was unable to get a shot off.
Altus turned the ball four times in the early portion of the overtime. That allowed Duncan to build a six-point lead.
Kiondra Harris made a pair of free throws with 58 seconds left ,and after a steal, Dashaniece Harris hit a layup to draw Altus to within two (39-37).
Duncan's Kensey Kennedy swished a pair of free throws to put Duncan ahead 41-37 with 43 seconds.
Ten seconds later Malorie Vaughan hit a three-pointer and Altus trailed only 41-40 with 33 seconds remaining.
A Duncan turnover gave Altus the opportunity two win the game in the waning seconds.
Altus' Michelle Marcha drove to the bucket and put up a shot and on a questionable call, she was whistled for a charging foul with 1.4 seconds left.
Taysha Dean added two free throws for Duncan with 0.5 seconds left.
Harris led Altus with eight points while Vaughan and Marcha had seven points.
Altus will return to play on Friday when they host Lawton Eisenhower at 6 p.m.
