She was born Feb. 9, 1917, in Altus to John Alexander and Velma Beatrice (Harrell) McKinzie. After graduating from Porter High School she continued her education with two years at South West Oklahoma State University, majoring in finance and accounting. She worked briefly at Altus AFB in the finance department where she met and married Charles Andrew Weber of Olustee in 1943. In approximately 1949 she opened, owned and operated the Altus Flying Service, one of the first agricultural flying applications in Jackson County, until 1958. Following this she began a lengthy career as an auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. She loved animals and raised Siberian Huskies and Malamutes. Her other love was gardening, especially raising holyhocks. She was of the Methodist faith and was also a member of Eastern Star, DNPW and the Huguenot Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles in 1949; one daughter, Lieutenant Commander June Weber Tate in 1992; a grandchild, Russell James in 1977; and one brother, Jim David McKinzie.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosemary Weber Johnson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Nona Camille Westphal of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Russell John Weber Sr. of Arvada, Colo. and Willowvale, and David Morris Weber of Colorado Springs and Elmer; a cousin, Frank Dickey of Olustee; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
