TAB preparing for Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction

“That Altus Band” and Band Parents will have their annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, March 31.

It will be held in the Altus High School Cafeteria. Doors open at 6 p.m. with entertainment provided by the “TAB” Jazz Ensemble under the direction of LaFrancis Davis.

About 100 area merchants have made contributions for the auction. Items include subscriptions to the Altus Times, a “Vision Seeker” numbered and signed print from Jeff Greenley and NBC, quarter and nickel 2006 proof sets from Rick Cheaney and First State Bank, oil changes, $50 dollar savings bonds from Red River Federal Credit Union and Lynn Jackson, and from Stockman's Bank and Shirley Holder, a silver dollar coin from First National Bank and Rollann Abbott, a $25 dollar roll of new dollars from Midfirst bank and Gary Beach, hair care, a recliner, animal vaccinations, tanning, numerous gift certificates and many more items. Between the band's sets, there will be a live auction where two $100 fee waiver WOSC scholarships and an overnight stay at Quartz Mountain will be auctioned off. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time from “TAB” parents. Ticket prices is $6. A minimal number of tickets will be available at the door. The meal consists of spaghetti with a special sauce, bread donated by Luigi's, salad donated by Grapevine, drink and dessert.
