Dorothy Mae Hatch, 85, of Eldorado, died Sunday morning, March 11, 2007, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Hatch was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Eldorado to Jennie Mae (Weddle) and Charles Wesley Clonts. She attended Eldorado Schools and graduated from Eldorado High School in 1939. She married the love of her life, Frank W. Hatch, on Jan. 14, 1940, in Eldorado, and they spent 67 wonderful years together before her death. Frank and Dorothy lived in San Antonio, Texas, Salt Lake City, Glendale, Calif., and Victorville, Calif., while Frank was serving in the United States Army. During that time, Dorothy was employed by the Civil Service. Following the war they returned to Eldorado and opened a furniture store, and later Hatch Dry Goods. They were in business until their retirement in 1981. A successful businesswoman and a devoted wife and mother, she was a member of the Eldorado Methodist Church for 60 years and was active in church and community activities throughout her life.

Mrs. Hatch was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Carroll Clonts; and her granddaughter, Sara Lyn Paulsgrove. She is survived by her husband Frank Hatch of Eldorado; her daughter and son-in-law, Carol Sue and Gene Paulsgrove of Newcastle; three grandchildren, Jay, James and Jana Paulsgrove of Norman; her niece, Jo Karon Gunkel and husband Jerry of Eldorado; along with many great-niecesand -nephews other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services for Dorothy Mae Hatch will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at the Eldorado Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Jones officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Eldorado.

In lieu of flowers, her family has requested that donations be made to The Children's Center, 6800 N.W. 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008, in memory of Sara Lyn Paulsgrove.
