Mary Alice Pitts, 44, of Mangum, passed away early Saturday morning, April 7, 2007, at Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton after a sudden illness.

She was born Nov. 29, 1962, to Tommy and Ethel (White) Goodman in Mangum. Following graduation from Mangum High School, she married the love of her life, Brett Pitts, on Aug. 8, 1985, in Mangum. A faithful member of the Mangum Church of Christ, she was a social 2orker for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Mary served on the Ladybugs Beautification Committee, was a Main Street volunteer, an excellent cook and a loving daughter to her parents. She put everyone's needs ahead of her own and was involved in every aspect of her kid's lives. Mary attended every sporting event that her children were involved in and her home was an open house with kids in and out at all times of the day and night.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Survivors include her husband, Brett, of the home; two children, Rowdy Pitts and Kylie Pitts of the home; her parents, Tommy and Ethel Goodman of Mangum; one brother, Tommy Steven Goodman and wife Lynette of Sayre; one sister, Carrie Statler and husband Bob of Tulsa; three nieces, Cassie, Autumn and Jenny; along with many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Mangum High School Auditorium with Todd McRay officiating. Interment was to follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
