Molly Levite Griffis, a two time Oklahoma Book Award author, will bring to life the amazing true story of The Remarkable Ride of the Abernathy Boys - two Frederick boys who go on a great adventure! Molly Levite Griffis grew up in Apache, Oklahoma, spending childhood winters by the potbelly stove at her parents' general store, Levite's Handy Corner. She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She lives in Norman where she owned and managed Levite of Apache, a business specializing in the unlikely combination of books and Pendleton blankets! She has written eight books centered on Oklahoma. Her latest book, Paradise on the Prairie, is a tribute to the Oklahoma Centennial and a blend of interesting fact and fiction. Come dressed in pioneer clothing (optional) and see famous characters including the Abernathy Boys. Mrs. Griffis will answer questions about the boys' adventures. Mrs. Griffis is a delightful character you won't want to miss. A tour of the Pioneer Townsite will follow the program.
