An account has been set up for Mitchell Rodgers, 30, of Altus has been diagnosed with a rare and chronic disease known as “Meniere's Disease.” Funds are needed to help with the cost to have a must-needed surgery. Red Cross responded to a house fire Tuesday in Granite, the home was destroyed. The Fricovsky family of six has lost everything and is in need. The Red Cross has provided a motel stay for three nights, given vouchers for, clothing, shoes and food. The family may be contacted at 580-706-0569.

Check your child's grades online. If you would like to check your child's grades online through Altus School's new “Parent-at-School” computer program, you will need to present your photo ID and sign up for a password. For your convenience, you may come by the AHS Cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3 and get your password during One-Stop Enrollment or you may complete the paperwork in the office of your child's school when classes begin.
A Free Immunization Clinic will be held during One-Stop Enrollment. All area children are eligible to receive immunizations from the Jackson County Health Department free of charge. Bring shot records, and if not accompanied by parent, bring a signed parental permission letter.
