Threshold Services, a faith-based, inter-denominational organization that assists Altus Community Work Center residents, will hold a car wash for donations Saturday, July 14, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McDonald's. An account has been set up for Mitchell Rodgers, 30, of Altus has been diagnosed with a rare and chronic disease known as “Meniere's Disease.” Funds are needed to help with the cost to have a must-needed surgery. Red Cross responded to aThe Tornado Alley Road Riders will meet at 9 a.m. on July 15 at the Community Center on Falcon Road to ride to the south shore of Lake Altus, pavilion #1, for a provided lunch.
