Norm Weber, the local owner of McDonalds of Altus, is thrilled to announce that construction will begin on the new McDonald's restaurant this week at their Broadway location.

The project will take a little over 100 days and the existing restaurant will remain open during most of the construction. "This is a first in our region for a McDonald's to remain open while building a new store in the front of the lot", Weber said. "We're proud to have been able to figure out a way to continue to serve our customers during such a large construction project.”

Weber said that he is rebuilding the restaurant because the building has become "old and tired." "This community has been very supportive of our business and we think that Altus deserves a first class McDonald's restaurant." The new facility will include a double drive-thru which allows two orders to be placed at the same time, a brand new playland, bottled beverages, and separate seating areas in the lobby and playground.
