The Lady Bulldogs have found the going rough losing their first three softball games of the season. They lost a pair of games Monday to Cache and Marlow.

Cache defeated Altus 4-1.

Kim Cusher was the losing pitcher despite giving up only one earned run, and she pitched well despite battling mononucleosis. She hurled the first five innings while Randi Ruiz tossed the final two games.

Marlow downed Altus 8-4 in the other game. Angie Valdez and Taryn Ray had two hits each. Vivian Briones and Britany Tovar had one hit each.

On Tuesday the Lady Bulldogs committed eight errors in an 8-5 loss at Mangum.

Valdez had three hits, while Ruiz and Maria League each had two hits.

Ruiz pitched well but was a victim of the errors.

Altus will travel to Chickasha for a 4 p.m. game on Friday.
