The Fifth Annual Southwest Stocker Cattle Conference is slated for Sept. 25, at the Great Plains Technology Center in Lawton.

“This Stocker Conference will offer cattle producers in Southwest Oklahoma the opportunity to gain a lot of valuable information,” said local Extension educator Gary Strickland.

To register contact Bob LeValley, Oklahoma State University Area Extension livestock specialist, at 580-255-0546. Registration is due by Sept. 19. While registration is not required it will certainly help in planning for the free sponsored meal.

Topics included in this year's conference will include “Wheat Fertility Update,” “Wheat Pasture Lease Agreements,” “Farm Program Updates,” “Supplemental Feeding of Stocker Cattle Grazing,” “Wheat Pasture” and “The Cattle Market Situation and Outlook.”
