Information sought about recent business burglary

Altus Police Detective Capt. Mike Turner is seeking the public's help about a theft that occurred in the early morning hours of Aug. 22 at a detail shop located at 221 W. Broadway.

The subject(s) gained entry into the business through the back door of the business. They removed a set of 22-inch chrome wheels and tires and stole a 1987 Chevy Monte Carlo.

The car was recovered later the same day, but the stereo was removed.

Anyone with information about this crime can call the Altus Police Department at 482-4121 or Crime Stoppers at 482-TIPS (482-8477).

Those with information could receive up to $1,000 in rewards if their information leads to a conviction, and those providing information can remain anonymous.
