Learn to protect your home while you're away

Officer Mike Bell of the Altus Police department will be presenting a national Power Point presentation on how to start a neighborhood watch in your area along with ways to protect your home when going away. Bell said that if you answer “yes” to any of the following questions, you need to attend this Power Point show:

Are you going away for the holidays? Has a neighbor's house or yours been damaged or broken into during the past year? Are you interested in starting a Neighborhood Watch program in your area?

Altus Police Chief Mike Patterson and Jackson County Sheriff Roger Levick will be present to start the presentation and to answer your questions. This presentation will last about two hours and is free to attend. The program will be held at the Southwest Vo-Tech Center on W. Tamarack behind WOSC. It will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 13.

Feel free to call the Altus Police department at 482-4121 with any questions about the program.
