Navajo swept a pair of games from Olustee in the first round of the Best of the Southwest Tournament at Granite.

The Lady Indians got off to a quick start and routed the Lady Eagles 74-20. The Navajo boys defeated Olustee 69-52.

The Lady Indians scored the first 21 points of the game and they never looked back.

Kathryn Chapman scored 22 points to lead Navajo. Then came Damaris Cox 14 points, Sarah Bates 12 points and Kelci Pryor 10 points.

Katrina Hatchett paced Olustee with 12 points.

Navajo will face Blair in the semifinals at 4 p.m.

The Navajo boys got a 24 point performance from Jade Terbush. Tim Steward had 15 points and Jacob Parsons 14 points.

Olustee was led by Mitchell Basaldua, who had 19 points.
