ALTUS - Festivities will begin at 1 p.m. in downtown Altus Sunday for Main Street Altus' annual Candy Cane Cash Giveaway. Roy Lee Scott and Friends will take the stage to entertain the huge crowd that is expected to be in attendance.

There will be a moon jump, free wagon rides and food vendors on the square, as well as lots of stores open for holiday shopping.

The first cash prize drawing will be at 3 p.m. for $1,000. There will be drawings at 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40 and 3:50 p.m. for $100 prizes. The grand prize drawing for $10,000 will be held at 4 p.m.

Main Street Altus reminds everyone that even though you may not win a prize Sunday afternoon, there will be another drawing on Monday for $1,000. The winning ticket number will be published in the Altus Times and announced on 107.9 FM, 105.9 FM, 93.5 FM, 92.5 FM and 1450 AM, but will not be given over the phone.
