Cook was a junior at Altus High School when his life was taken in an airplane crash north of Altus at the age of 17. This memorial run benefits Altus High School seniors who are graduating with scholarships in Zach’s name.
The memorial run is a 2-mile run/walk that takes place at the Altus City Reservoir.
Last year, over 250 participants from Altus, Altus Air Force Base, and surrounding towns participated.
