The Southwest Oklahoma Republican Woman (SWORW) will host “An Evening of Desserts and Politics”, Friday, June 17, 7 p.m., at the Best Western of Altus. Keynote speaker will be Thomas J. Basile, Executive Director of the New York State GOP. The theme will be “How Republicanism Will Save the Republic”.

According to the New York Republican Party web site at https://www.nygop.org/page/thomas-j-basile, "Basile is founder and Principal of Empire Solutions, a New York-based growth strategies and strategic communications firm.  He is an adjunct professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences where he teaches political communications.   He is also a Managing Director of Middleberg Communications also in New York...In October, 2009 he was named Executive Director of the Republican Party of New York State by Chairman Edward F. Cox."
